Your office or workspace should be an environment that inspires you and a place you enjoy being in. For me, I enjoy a bright space filled with light that feels simple and airy. I bring in mostly soft colors and beautiful flowers to decorate my office. And let’s not forget candles and wax melt warmers to make the room smell amazing.

Over the past year though, I have incorporated a bit of a theme in my workspace. I would now say that it has a travel inspired, feminine vibe to it and I love how it has turned out. It makes me want to be in my office all the time whether it’s for work or just to hang out in. If you are wanting the same look and feeling in your own office or workspace, then let me show you how to add travel inspiration to your office!

Travel Inspired Wall Art

To me, adding wall art to any space can help develop any theme you are wanting to achieve. In my office, I bought travel inspired wall art to hang in different areas to keep me inspired about travel and adventures. You don’t have to spend an enormous amount of money on wall art though.

I found a gorgeous, large print of a vintage Volkswagen bus that gives off those summer vacation vibes I love so much at Five Below for just five dollars. I found a small, framed print of a girl walking her dog by the Eiffel Tower at the Dollar Tree for one dollar. This has become one of my favorite art pieces!

Travel Quotes

I especially love wall art and office decor with quotes. You’ll find in my office that I have several quotes on the wall. I have an inexpensive canvas that I bought at Ross Dress for Less that has one of my favorite quotes on it, “Not all who wander are lost.” If you can’t find this exact canvas at Ross, Amazon has a great selection of travel inspired canvases that you can check out as well.

There’s also an unframed print from Target of a quote that I just clipped onto a clipboard and hung on the wall. It’s a simple way to show off artwork and it’s easy to change out if you decide to switch out the print on the clipboard. There are also tons of free printables on Pinterest that you can easily print out and hang on your wall as well!

Vinyl Decal Maps

I’ve seen large vinyl decals popping up in the decorating and craft community but had never personally given them a try. A few months ago though, I decided to make a stop at my local Dollar Tree. While shopping around the home decor section of the store, I found a large, removable decal of the United States! I instantly purchased it because I knew it would be a perfect fit for my travel inspired office.

I ended up putting it on the back of my door where it fit so nicely! I would highly recommend vinyl decals to add to your travel inspired office, especially the removable ones because they can fill a large, empty space and easily be removed if you decide to change your decor or have to move your office space.

This past week, I went back to the Dollar Tree and they now have a world map vinyl decal as well! I couldn’t figure out where to put that one so didn’t purchase it but I definitely suggest heading to your local Dollar Tree if you are wanting to try out vinyl decals in your office space. They have a variety of them, they are removable, and of course, they are only one dollar! However, if you can’t find these at your local Dollar Tree, again, Amazon is a great place to find just about anything. Here are some of the decals I found there.

Vintage Cameras

Not everyone is going to want to put vintage cameras in their office or workspace but for me, cameras make me think of traveling and capturing moments in different places. I have several vintage cameras but actually didn’t spend any money on them. They can be an expensive item to purchase just for decoration in your office but I suggest looking at thrift stores and Goodwills to see what you can find.

One of my vintage cameras is actually from my father-in-law. He used it during the Vietnam War and it’s my most cherished one. Another one that that I have displayed in my office is one that my mom found for me at her local thrift store. Lastly, I have a cute, Polaroid camera that my dad picked up for me at his local Goodwill store. He only paid around one dollar for it and once I got some film for the camera on Amazon, I discovered that it actually still worked! These cameras are placed around my office and they definitely help give off the travel vibes that I am going for in the room.

Small Travel Decor Items

Sprinkled around my room are small items like candles and figurines that remind me of traveling. There’s a small candle in my office that says Wanderlust on it that was only one dollar at the Dollar Tree. I have another candle that I actually wrapped a bit of scrapbooking paper around that has the quote, “Not all who wander are lost” on it as well. A small Eiffel Tower figurine that I found at a thrift store sits on a shelf in my office and adds a lot of travel inspiration to that area as well.

So you see, travel inspiration is easy to find and can be done inexpensively too! I love how my office and workspace has developed into an environment that I love coming into everyday and that provides inspiration everywhere I look.
